TODAY IS THE DAY WE BEGIN A FEAST FOR CROWS AND A DANCE WITH DRAGONS, books 4 and 5 of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire. Per the will of our bannermen and our patrons, we’ve decided to cover these books in an interleaved order organized by Sean T. Collins. The first two chapters in this new order are both of the prologues, first ADwD and then AFfC, and so that’s what we discuss in this episode.

With Season 6 of Game of Thrones in the bag, Ivan and Red return to their chapter by chapter book club. Using the reading guide that was provided by Bannerman Michelle Victory prior to season 5 of Game of Thrones, they finish up A Storm of Swords by covering Samwell IV, Jon XI, skipping the previously covered Tyrion XI and then going on to Samwell V and Jon XII. Next week we’ll move on to A Feast for Crows.
